Severe Tropical Storm Washi was a late-season tropical-cyclone that caused catastrophic damage in the Philippines on late 2011.

Catastrophic flash flooding triggered by Washi resulted in at least 1,257fatalities. Additionally, at least 85 people are known to be missing. A massive relief operation involving the evacuation of 100,000 people occurred on the morning of December17, 2011.

Unfortunately, many of these people are still displaced and are living in primitive conditions. RLI donated 15 boxes of clothing, kitchen ware and other times to the Philippine Red Cross. The company would like to thank the collective effort of its employees for making this possible.
