Annually, as part of the preparatory measures before the opening of classes, the Department of Education launches school maintenance week, or Brigada Eskwela. This is a nationwide charitable effort, which enjoins volunteers to do minor repair in public schools and prepare the learning environment for students. The aim of this volunteerism is to mainstream disaster preparedness to all public schools for the opening of classes, which will be on June 2.

To join in this yearly assistance for public schools, Rudolf Lietz Inc. donated supplies through the joint efforts of the HR and Admin departments to Sun Valley Elementary School through their school representative. Materials donated included: 20 pieces of paintbrush, 12 pieces of roller brush and 6 pieces of paint trays. These items will be used to help create a clean and resilient learning environment for the students.
